Though babies can be a lot of fun and bring so much joy to people's lives, they can also be pretty costly. Since babies need so many items when they arrive, it's nice to throw the expecting family a baby shower. From bottles and diapers to clothes and money, there is no "bad" gift to give. Registered items: When a mother and father to be know they're having a baby shower, they usually register at a baby store or store that carries baby items and claim what they'd like to receive. From decorating the nursery with a certain theme to asking for certain bottles or even styles of things, it's nice to stick to what they have on the registry and mark it as bough so that they get what they want and don't get duplicates of something. Following a registry is very important and can make planning on the parent's party much easier.
Diapers: Though diapers don't seem very personable or like a "nice" gift to give, they are a gift that is appreciated greatly. Babies go through about a minimum of five diapers a day, so the costs of them add up rather quickly and are needed at all times until the child is potty trained. So, whether you buy them size two diapers or size five, the parents will greatly appreciate them.
Money: Again, money isn't very personable, but it allows so much freedom to buy what the baby needs. It can also be great to put in a bank account for the baby or even buy the mother items like breastfeeding supplies.
Bottles: When a baby is young, the parents will go through so many bottles. From feedings in the middle of the night to all throughout the day, it isn't uncommon to go through at least six or seven bottles daily. Not to mention, finding the time to wash all the bottles is hard. So, the more bottles the parents have, the easier it is on everyone.
Toys: Toys also make a great gift because it allows a baby to learn new sights and sounds, learn how to play independently and be entertained. From rattles to play mats, all sorts of toys that light up or make a sound are loved by the parents and the baby.
As one can see, there are a lot of great baby shower gifts to take into consideration. Though items like clothes and basic necessities like burp cloths are nice, those are some pretty popular gifts that a lot of people give. Not to mention, a baby can only use so many bibs, burp clothes and clothes of a certain size before they grow out of them or don't need them anymore.
